A major UK infrastructure business is looking to appoint a senior lawyer to join its in-house legal function. This is a business of scale, operating at the intersection of energy, infrastructure and technology, and is seeking commercially minded lawyers who can bring fresh perspectives as well as technical expertise.

Mandate

You will advise on high value commercial arrangements, strategic partnerships and complex projects spanning energy, utilities and wider infrastructure. The work is commercially significant, fast paced and involves regular interaction with senior stakeholders and external partners.

What is sought

The business is less concerned with PQE or sector background and more focused on calibre, instincts and potential. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Commercial judgement, knowing when to act, escalate or hold the line
• Independence, trusted to progress complex matters without close supervision
• Resilience, credible in pushing back with senior decision makers
• Fresh thinking, introducing improvements to processes and ways of working
