Are you interested in assessing, evidencing, and communicating the impact of NIHRs investment in research awards and capacity development?

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is seeking a friendly, organised, and conscientious Senior Impact Officer to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will undertake a range of impact related activities, and will be comfortable working across various tasks at any one time. They will support managers with evaluations and impact assessments of NIHR schemes and programmes and to develop impact products

Main duties of the job
  • Be responsible for identification and production of impact case studies, impact portfolio of NIHR Academy schemes and programmes;
  • Support the management and development of impact assessment methods and logic models for the NIHR Academy programmes;
  • Write reports and working draft papers as required;
  • Assist in providing timely responses to various information requests, including parliamentary questions. This involves researching and reporting on research outputs;
  • Be responsible for providing administrative support to Impact Managers and Assistant Director of the Evaluation, Business Intelligence and Impact Team.
  • Be prepared to travel within the UK for the attendance of meetings and conferences.
