Qualifications

  • Graduate-level individual with professional insurance qualification ACII already obtained.
  • 15 years demonstrable experience underwriting Healthcare accounts and clients.
  • Excellent analytical skills and solid knowledge of pricing & actuarial models.
  • Must be articulate with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong marketing and business development capability with commercial acumen.
  • Highly computer literate within MS office applications and underwriting systems.
  • Methodical approach to work with strong organization skills.
  • Overall team player with collaborative outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Perform extensive account analysis and complete underwriting worksheets.
  • Craft Endorsement wordings for authorization by legal.
  • Develop overall Healthcare strategy and execute business plans.
  • Market business in London market and explore new opportunities.
  • Liaise with actuarial support for premium benchmarking and pricing models.
  • Supervise Assistant Underwriters and develop team members.
  • Attend client meetings and industry conferences as appropriate.
