Role Description

This is a full‑time remote position for a Senior Full Stack Developer / Full Stack Developer specializing in the insurance retail sector. Responsibilities include building and maintaining robust, scalable, and user‑friendly software applications, and ensuring seamless integration across all platforms. You will collaborate with cross‑functional team to deliver innovative solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities
Platform & Application Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack web applications supporting insurance quoting, policy administration, renewals, MTAs, and cancellations.
  • Build and maintain internal admin portals (broker / ops / compliance) and customer‑facing journeys.
  • Ensure robust integration with third‑party services including:
    • Insurers / MGAs
    • Aggregators (e.g. comparison platforms)
    • Payment providers
    • Vehicle and customer data APIs
Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Lead architectural decisions across front‑end, back‑end, and infrastructure.
  • Champion clean code, reusability, performance, and security.
  • Own and document technical designs, APIs, and data models.
  • Support the transition from externally developed systems to fully owned internal IP.
Insurance & Regulatory Awareness
  • Develop systems aligned with FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, and PROD requirements.
  • Ensure accurate handling of:
    • Premiums, IPT, commission splits
    • Bordereaux, claims data, and insurer reporting
    • Audit trails and data integrity
Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work closely with Product, Compliance, Operations, and Senior Leadership.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support junior developers and contribute to setting development standards and best practices.
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and release management.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer, with at least 2 years at Senior level.
  • Strong back‑end experience with one or more of:
    • Node.js / TypeScript
    • .NET / C#
    • PHP / Laravel
  • Strong front‑end experience with:
    • React, Vue, or Angular
    • Modern JavaScript / TypeScript
  • API‑first development (REST / JSON).
  • Strong database experience (SQL and / or NoSQL).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • CI / CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment workflows.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with insurance admin or policy management systems
  • Bordereaux, claims, or financial reporting experience
  • Multi‑brand or multi‑entity platform exposure
  • Experience rebuilding or migrating legacy insurance platforms
  • Has previously built integrations to major comparison sites
