A leading employment agency in Huddersfield is seeking a Finance Manager to provide day-to-day financial support for a mixed portfolio of services. The role includes supervising Finance Officers and handling financial planning. Applicants should have significant experience in Capital Accounting within the public sector and be able to manage meetings with Budget Holders. This temporary position requires strong communication skills and previous local authority experience is preferred.
Responsible for the day to day financial support of a mixed portfolio of services and will specialise in aspects of the provision of the finance service- for example Financial Planning or corporate financial accounting.
Line Management of Finance Officers/Assistant Finance Officers within the team
Please note that a standard DBS applies to selected SFO’s in Central Accountancy responsible for or having a role in the operation of bank accounts and or creditors operations.
Would prefer Local Authority experience but would be willing to consider non LA or other public sector experience as long they can demonstrate experience in budget monitoring, holding meetings with Budget Holders and Senior Managers to present information, supervising junior staff etc. We would also be looking for applicants with significant experience of Capital Accounting in the public sector.
