Overview

Role

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Senior Events Officer to join our busy team. In this role, you will lead on the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-profile conferences and events, ensuring delegates, sponsors, and partners receive the best possible experience.

Responsibilities
  • You will manage all aspects of event logistics, from venue and supplier negotiations to catering, AV, staging, accommodation, and delegate registration.
  • On the day, you will take charge of set-up and breakdown, problem-solving, and liaising with contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Working closely with the Conferences and Events Manager, you will also deputise in their absence, oversee budgets, and embed sustainability into event planning.
  • You will support the use of event technology, contribute to promotional campaigns, and provide post-event evaluation and reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale events.
  • Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing budgets.
  • Confidence using IT systems and event management software.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with a focus on excellent customer service.
