Senior Chartered Estates Surveyor

Location: Exeter
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum
Hours: 37 per week

Are you an experienced Chartered Estates Surveyor looking for your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading property consultancy team delivering professional estate management and valuation services across the South West. With a strong forward order book and varied projects, you'll play a key role in shaping property strategies for public sector and local authority clients.

What You'll Do
  • Manage property acquisitions and disposals, including negotiation and compulsory purchase.
  • Handle leases, tenancies, licences, easements, and other property interests.
  • Oversee rent reviews, assignments, sub-lettings, and dilapidations.
  • Conduct valuations for insurance, capital, rental, and accounting purposes.
  • Prepare project estimates, appraisals, and planning applications.
  • Represent clients at inquiries, tribunals, appeals, and arbitration.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For
  • Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Degree or equivalent in an estates-related discipline.
  • Strong legal knowledge of landlord and tenant law, compulsory purchase, and valuation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with health and safety legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
