Job summary

A regional NHS Trust in Lincoln is seeking a full-time Consultant in Emergency Medicine for its Accident and Emergency Department. The role involves direct clinical supervision, training junior staff, and participating in the department's governance and development. Candidates must have Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, CCT in Emergency Medicine, and a broad range of experience in Emergency settings. Qualifications

  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine is essential.
  • CCT in Emergency Medicine or equivalent within 6 months is required.
  • Broad experience in Emergency Medicine is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical support to the Emergency Department.
  • Directly supervise and train junior medical staff.
  • Participate in the development of treatment protocols.

Skills

Leadership or Teaching qualification
Ability to teach all grades of medical staff
Emergency problem-solving

Education

Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM)
CCT in Emergency Medicine or equivalent
Full GMC Registration with licence to practice

Tools

ATLS/ETC & ALS certification
APLS or PALS certification
