A leading pharmaceutical firm in Irvine is seeking a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a Mon-Fri day shift. Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally in a Facilities or maintenance role.
• Good knowledge of Facilities plant and equipment is desirable.
• Qualified to BS 7671 - 17th Edition IET or 18th Edition is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Close out all Facility Electrical defects & improvements.
• Ensure production area meets all Quality & Regulation standards.
• Troubleshoot Site CCTV, Net2 Access control & fire equipment.
• Lead & Support Contractor control for electrical works.
• Support purchasing process for maintenance tasks.
• Manage Facilities Maintenance and track defects.
• Support Facility type Capex works.
• Carry out all site portable appliance testing.

Skills

Electrical Engineering experience

Preventative Planned Maintenance Management

Knowledge of Facilities plant and equipment

Computer competence (Microsoft Office, SAP)

Your role:

As our Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer working on a Mon-Fri day shift you’ll provide all-round engineering support, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Irvine Facility. You will have a deep understanding of Electrical regulations and be responsible for complying with Health & Safety and building codes of practice. As a hands‑on engineer, you will work closely within the Facilities & Control of Work Team, managing and performing essential maintenance and installation tasks to ensure our Facility operates at optimal efficiency. Your goal is to maintain and ensure the safety and professionalism of all activities on site with an Act as Owner approach.

Responsibilities include:

• Close out all Facility Electrical defects & improvements (lighting & small power).
• Ensure production area lighting and small power meets all Quality & Regulation standards and ensure Audit readiness.
• Troubleshooting of Site CCTV, Net2 Access control & fire equipment, to reduce downtime and increase site knowledge.
• Lead & Support Contractor control & sponsor specific electrical works both Maintenance and construction.
• Support purchasing process, PR’s, PO’s, Quotations, SAP.
• Manage Facilities Maintenance to track and close out all facilities maintenance defects (iObeya).
• Support Facility type Capex works.
• Carry out all site portable appliance testing and maintain register.
• Own all Facility type electrical isolations from design, implementation, and long term.

Who you are:

• Experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally in a Facilities or maintenance role
• Have experience of Preventative Planned Maintenance Management - desirable
• Have a good knowledge of Facilities plant and equipment - desirable
• Are computer competent, Microsoft Office, SAP, XL etc.
• Have a good understand of Building Management Systems and project management processes - desirable
• Are qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 - installation and maintenance and BS 7671- 17th Edition IET, although 18th Edition is desirable.
