Overview

Join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors who are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a brand-new project in Helsinki. As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work for an innovative, forward-thinking contractor that operates a diverse business model.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to transfer into a booming sector which will continue to grow over the coming years. The data centre sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in construction, and the need for its infrastructure will continue to grow for years to come. With an order book full for another 5+ years, there is excellent scope for a high-performing Senior Electrical Engineer to play a crucial part in this growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience, determination and be focused on delivering leading-edge construction solutions across key sectors, including data centre and pharmaceutical. Data centre experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Information reporting to ensure activity deadlines are met to support the project team.
  • Familiarisation with Design/IFC specifications and drawings to understand the project scope; oversee the coordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel, ensuring specification compliance and alignment with schedule priorities.
  • Assist the Installation Package team to manage the project\'s quality on-site, guiding compliance with relevant standards, codes and specifications.
  • Assess Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications.
  • Familiarise with the Project schedule and ensure engineering activities do not impact procurement and other activities.
  • Manage technical submittals and approvals.
  • Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and QA plan.
  • Manage Sub-contractors and ensure adequate information flow to progress works in line with the Project Schedule and Weekly Meetings.
  • Evaluate and promote new engineering practices and processes to enhance delivery time.
  • Prepare Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.
Requirements
  • Up to 5 years\' experience working with a recognised electrical contractor.
  • Data centre experience advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and project planning skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Navisworks and database systems related to engineering functions.
  • Familiar with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
