Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work on exciting projects. The role involves preparing project documentation, creating detailed design concepts, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and proficiency in E–Plan and 3D modelling tools. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. This is a permanent position with a salary of up to GBP60,000 depending on experience.

• Proficient with E–Plan and 3D modelling platforms.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Preparing project documentation including basis of design and detailed functional design specification.
• Creating design concepts and producing detailed design documentation including electrical schematics.
• Liaising with Purchasing for equipment procurement and preparing technical procurement specifications.
• Resolving design documentation issues and creating as built drawings.
• Conducting factory acceptance testing and site commissioning.
• Production of final project close out documentation package.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Teesside
Salary: up to GBP60,000 DOE

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading engineering consultancy which provides turnkey solutions to the marine, offshore, and energy sectors. They are now looking to bring an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on their exciting projects on a permanent basis.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing project documentation including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures.
• Creating design concepts and producing detailed design documentation including electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layout drawings, I/O lists, 3D models, bills of materials, alarms lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices, FMECA.
• Liaising with Purchasing for equipment procurement, preparing RFQs and technical procurement specifications.
• Liaising with Production, resolving design documentation issues and creating as built drawings.
• Start up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and where necessary site commissioning site integration and acceptance testing.
• Production of final project close out documentation package including drawing updates, O&M manuals, spare parts lists.

Senior Electrical Engineer Key Requirements:

• Proficient with E–Plan, 3D modelling and simulation platforms.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Confident communication skills – written and verbal.
