Job summary

A Local Authority is seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist for a 3-month hybrid contract. The role focuses on leading the Educational Psychology Service, providing supervision, and enhancing outcomes for children and young people. Ideal candidates will have HCPC registration and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Local Authority setting. Competitive pay of £650 per day is offered, with interviews scheduled for January.

South Coast – Hybrid. 3‑month interim contract. £650 per day Inside IR35. Interviews January.

We're supporting a Local Authority seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist to help lead and develop their Educational Psychology Service. This role focuses on high‑quality service delivery, professional supervision and improving outcomes for children and young people aged 0‑25.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting day‑to‑day operational management of the EP Service
  • Providing supervision and line management to EPs and Assistant EPs
  • Ensuring high‑quality psychological advice for EHC needs assessments
  • Leading service development, training and early‑intervention work
  • Working collaboratively with SEND colleagues, schools and families
  • Monitoring service performance and coordinating critical incident responses
Qualifications
  • Qualified Educational Psychologist with HCPC registration
  • Minimum 3 years post‑qualification LA experience
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theory, SEN legislation and inclusive practice
  • Experience supervising others and leading projects
  • Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills
