Job description

An opportunity for a Senior Digital Specialist has arisen within the Digital Services Infrastructure team at Velindre University NHS Trust. The role will be equally supporting Velindre Cancer Centre in Whitchurch, Cardiff and the Welsh Blood Service at Talbot Green and will be based at both sites. The role is on a fixed term basis for 2 years. The candidate will require technical experience, supporting users with applications and devices. You must demonstrate experience working within IT on your application form which is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Work using Service Desk software to respond to tickets escalated from the Digital Service Desk team
  • Update Support tickets with updates and resolutions
  • Be able to prioritise tickets which are logged by users
  • Be able to build and fix IT devices and peripherals in a timely manner
  • Work alongside other Digital Services support staff
  • Have experience in an IT setting, which will be essential for this role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Have experience providing support for Microsoft Windows and Office 365 applications

The Digital Services team is a fast-paced environment with over 17,000 calls logged in the past twelve months. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and tight timescales whilst providing first class customer service for 1,800 staff and 2,500 client devices.

You will have a passion for innovation, a keen interest in advancing technology and will want to develop current IT support skills. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
