YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT’S INVOLVED?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior BIM and Digital Engineering Specialist supporting our increasing portfolio of work within our specialists’ Digital Services team. The team is working on some of the most exciting and digitally advanced projects in the UK and overseas using the industry’s most advanced technology.

1. Mentor and support staff and project teams to deliver world-class BIM services on projects around the globe.
2. Support clients and project teams to deliver BIM data strategies for projects across the life cycle of delivery.
3. Develop bid and tender proposals.
4. Own and develop client relationships internal and external to WSP.
5. Lead the implementation of BIM on various types of projects across the UK and internationally.
6. Contribute to key marketing themes within WSP Property & Buildings.
7. Support the growth and advancement of one of the most exciting and cutting-edge digital teams in the built environment.
8. Model delivery, reviewing and coordinating to ensure that company and project standards are maintained on all deliverables.
9. Resolve complex technical modelling issues while being aware that the modelling component of the project is subject to budget and deadline constraints.
10. Mentor other members in the team in their development.
11. Document management in a range of common data environments (BIM360 docs, Project Wise).
12. Devise and implement workflows in a CDE, working in collaboration with other design disciplines applying BIM solutions to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
13. Ensure compliance with BIM standards and (inter)national BIM standards (ISO19650).
14. Liaise with the project team, client and consultants to review BIM models for the project and make any necessary amendments.

1. Experience in leading BIM on large multidiscipline projects.
2. Enjoy leading and mentoring team members.
3. Engineering knowledge and experience to apply technical and practical engineering coordination skills in a BIM environment.
4. Experience working as a BIM Coordinator or Information Manager.
5. Understanding the use of workflows within CDEs.
6. Relevant industry degree qualified would be beneficial.
