Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week

Your New Role
Do you have chartered or nearly chartered status as a Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer, with expertise in marine, civils, piping, or naval infrastructure? We're looking for a motivated professional to lead multidisciplinary design teams on complex maritime and civil infrastructure projects in a unique, high-profile waterfront setting.

About the Role
As a Senior Design Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in developing strategic project briefs, managing internal and external design teams, and overseeing the design process from end to end, ensuring all outputs align with legislative, technical, and client-specific requirements. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role working across the full project lifecycle. You'll guide the design process from feasibility through to construction, ensuring engineering and environmental standards are met while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

You Will Have
  • A degree in Engineering (or similar)
  • Chartered status, or working towards, with a recognised institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE)
  • A background in Civil Engineering and Design Engineering
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams on complex design projects in marine, naval, port, or civil engineering environments
  • Understanding of relevant engineering codes and standards (British Standards, Eurocodes, Building Regulations, MMO)
