Job summary

Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently working with a Morecambe based Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) who are looking for a Band 6 Senior CYPMH Practitioner (RMN / Social Worker / OT) to join them on a contract basis.

The successful applicant will work with children, young people and families up to the age of 18 years presenting with a wide range of moderate to severe, emotional and mental difficulties.

You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 18 months experience, working with children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.

(This is a 3‑6 month contract with potential extension opportunities)

Duties | Responsibilities:
  • Undertake assessments of young people who have been admitted to the children’s ward or have attended A&E who require a mental health assessment
  • To assess risk and whether safe to be discharged
  • Follow‑up of young person and to decide whether discharge from service or to put forward for allocation
  • Undertake assessments of an urgent nature for young people who have been referred into service with urgent needs

*This is a Part Time position, hours are: Mon, Tue (9‑5) Wed (9‑12.30) total of 18.5hrs per week*

Pay rate: £24.00 - £25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
