Overview

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Senior Sales Advisor to join the team in our Yate branch, who’s as passionate about great service as we are.

This role will find you at the heart of our customers experience. You will drive sales in branch, face to face at the trade counter, and over the phone with customers. You'll develop new customer relationships and build on existing ones, becoming a key contact for all customer needs.

We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 34 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays). Hours: 7.30am-5.00pm Mon-Fri, every 2nd Sat 8am-12pm.

Responsibilities
  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values
  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Dealing with lapsed accounts and generating sales with new and existing customers
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
  • Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
  • Do you have sales experience and a proactive approach to customers?
  • Do you have a passion for working with people?
  • Previous industry experience is beneficial
  • Experience in a customer facing/sales environment
  • Passion for working with people with great communication skills
  • Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
