Overview

Senior Conveyancing Assistant — Location: Flitwick. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Salary: £28,000 per annum. Hours: Mon - Thurs 9:00am – 5:30pm, Fri 9:00am – 5:00pm.


We're recruiting on behalf of a respected and well-established legal practice for a Senior Legal Secretary with strong experience in residential and commercial property transactions. This role supports a team of solicitors and ensures smooth, compliant handling of property matters.


Responsibilities


  • Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to conveyancing solicitors

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence

  • Handle Land Registry, SDLT, and mortgage documentation

  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate client files and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Process billing and financial transactions related to conveyancing

  • Support junior secretaries and contribute to training as needed


Requirements


  • 3+ years\' experience as a Legal Secretary in conveyancing

  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial property transactions

  • Proficient in MS Office and case management software
