About The Role

Our client is a leading Ground Engineering and foundations contractor. Due to an increase in work, they are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer or an experienced Project Manager, ideally with expertise in Ground Improvement techniques such as Stone Columns, Vibro, anchors, grouting, and Mini-piling.

Duties

  • Be responsible for the efficient management of contracts on site, including contract performance, safety, progress monitoring/reporting, client liaison, staff supervision, and commercial aspects, while maintaining safety, quality, sustainability, and efficiency standards.
  • Ensure project deliverables are clear through handover meetings with the process team (estimating, design, commercial, procurement, plant, operations) and monitor compliance via KPIs.
  • Prepare and submit contract documentation to clients in advance of works, obtaining all necessary approvals prior to site mobilization.
  • Communicate deliverables to the site supervisor, and attend site as needed for complex or large projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive, neat, and tidy site paperwork.
  • Review site records weekly for compliance, manage the closure of non-conformities, and record project changes with the customer, involving the commercial department.
  • Monitor project performance daily, ensuring timely closure of actions/risks to maximize margins, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Report performance to the Operations Manager.
  • Demonstrate strong HSE and sustainability leadership.
  • Lead or assist in final account settlements with support from the commercial team.
  • Review financial performance monthly, revise project forecasts weekly, and manage all contract-related costs and purchases.
  • Support work-winning teams with sequencing, constructability, risks, and opportunities assessments.
  • Assist at customer meetings and provide input for bid documents.
  • Collaborate closely with the process team to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to understand and meet their Ground Engineering and ground improvement needs.
  • Ensure project delivery team compliance with the Business Management System through support and audits.
  • Support the delivery of Ground Improvement projects.
