About the role

We're looking for a skilled Senior Content Lead to create compelling thought leadership that supports our financial planning proposition. In this role, you'll translate insight from across the business and wider industry into engaging, client friendly materials. You'll lead all aspects of the development of financial planning content within our broader content engine, contributing to owned media, educational resources, and topical commentary across multiple channels.

What you'll be doing
  • Developing client and prospect-focused articles and commentary in partnership with the advice division and wider business teams
  • Collaborating closely with subject matter experts, product marketing and distribution teams
  • Editing editorial content where required and supporting on client-focused marketing materials as required
  • Playing a key role in the ideation, writing and editing of content for client communications, including our flagship Investor magazine
  • Handling messaging and sign off processes, ensuring materials reach final design and implementation stages
  • Creating engaging narratives tailored to audience and channel, including short and long form content, market commentary, and campaign assets (webpages, emails, scripts and more)
  • Reviewing content performance and optimising materials accordingly
Who we're looking for

We are seeking a confident communicator with strong editorial and writing skills, and a passion for wealth management and financial planning. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, working with experts across the business to ensure content is clear, accurate and engaging. The ideal candidate is highly organised, resilient, and able to translate complex topics into accessible, audience focused messaging.

Essential criteria
  • Proven writing and editing ability with a strong focus on audience understanding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working closely with senior stakeholders
  • A writing or journalistic background, with a proven ability to create economic and market-related content
  • Content ideation - a proven ability to generate and select topics for content that are relevant to and resonate with the target audience
  • Project management and oversight experience
  • Content commissioning experience and strong editing and proofing skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable Criteria
  • Detailed knowledge of the financial services sector and the retail investment landscape
