Job description

Stantec is at the forefront of transformative projects, driving sustainable development and innovative water solutions. We are excited to continue our growth journey in Northern Ireland and we have exciting plans for expansion in 2025 and beyond. We are delighted to continue our work on Northern Ireland Water’s IF182 Professional Services Framework and to support our growth we have moved to a new city centre office in Belfast.

As well as delivering work locally, you will have the opportunity to support projects with our water sector clients from across the United Kingdom and Ireland – including the delivery of vital resilience and improvement schemes, identifying and designing nature-based solutions to improve water quality, reduce overflows, boost biodiversity, and spearhead best practices in hydraulic modelling, water recycling, and digital innovation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Advisory Services team in Belfast. Our Asset Management and Advisory Services teams have a significant track record of successful delivery across the Water and Infrastructure sectors. We support our clients to help them drive performance and realise financial and social value from their assets.

An important part of your role will be to identify wider improvement opportunities for clients to reduce risk and/or improve their effectiveness and efficiency. You will build internal and external relationships to guide and influence client’s strategic thinking and raise the profile of our Advisory Services group, with the overall aim of building and growing the Stantec business.

As a Senior Consultant you will work alongside our Asset Management and Regulatory Advice leaders to develop and deliver innovative system‑based solutions throughout the entire Asset Lifecycle, and supporting asset management subjects, to enable our clients to solve their most complex problems. You will support our Client Service and Technical Directors with the development, and delivery of programmes, projects and technical outputs.

If you are looking for an opportunity to accelerate your career forward within a highly supportive organisation, delivering exceptional solutions for clients then we want to hear from you.

About You

You will have knowledge of the principles of whole life asset management and regulatory concepts; and working experience within a regulated sector – e.g. water, energy or related infrastructure sector.

You will be comfortable working collaboratively to develop asset management strategies that will deliver value for our clients. You will be a strategic/critical thinker and have excellent analytical and conceptual skills.

This opportunity can be based anywhere in the UK, and we have the right culture and well‑being to provide the flexibility, support, and work‑life balance that you need. We offer a fantastic range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, Private Medical Insurance, a strong pension scheme and a people‑orientated company culture. Importantly, we offer you the chance to play a key part in our growing Advisory Services Group and the opportunity to take your career to another level.
