Job Purpose

Being part of the early advisory project team, the Consultant is responsible for leading and delivering the assigned scope of work as well as independently planning and delivering upon individual workstreams within a timely manner.

The role will support the Early Advisory business which is to shape the energy transition and decarbonization strategy for our key clients and stakeholders.

Job scope
  • Lead multidisciplined engagement project teams to deliver strategic objectives such as achieving Net Zero by 2030.
  • Perform analytics, ability to assess and dissect priority data and present findings to internal and external key stakeholders executive leadership teams and government organizations.
  • Have the ability to undertake interviews of leading industry experts whilst supporting, coaching and mentoring other team members.
  • Originate research that allows Genesis to deliver groundbreaking perspectives in the energy transition sector with private equity investors.
  • Participate directly in the business development of Genesis by contributing and driving relevant Global proposal topics.
  • Support internal Early Advisory marketing and content creation activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvements of internal operations, specifically around efficiency and performance.
  • Coach and develop other team members.
Typical background and experience required
  • Significant experience in the energy industry, either as a consultant or engineer.
  • Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related field.
  • Experience in management consulting and / or early-stage techno‑economic studies.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, drive and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Advantageous Experience
  • Significant experience in engineering and / or early-stage project cost estimating and economic analysis.
  • Oil and Gas (Upstream), LNG or Refinery Operations.
  • Strategy Consulting or Investment Banking.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent.
