Overview

Senior Compliance Manager & MLRO (SMF17) – Consumer Lending – London (Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office) – £90k - £110k + benefits. This role has the potential to develop into a Head of Compliance (SMF16) position within 12-18 months. The business is under new leadership and geared for significant growth; the role will become an SMF16 position as the company expands into new markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the core compliance initiatives and the company’s control framework by building relationships with key stakeholders, promoting an ethical working environment and driving regulatory change.
• Provide regulatory advice, guidance and challenge to the business, promote a culture of continued improvement in the quality of the customer experience and ensure the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the business.
• Act as the Consumer Duty lead for the business and take on MLRO (SMF17) responsibilities.
• Operate as the sole Compliance specialist initially (within 2nd line reporting to the CEO) with scope to build a small team as the business grows.

• Experienced senior Compliance professional from the consumer lending arena.
• Familiar with regulations impacting this sector, including CONC and Consumer Duty in particular.
• Excellent communication skills.
