The employer specialises in the automated materials-handling industry and is recognised for delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects across aviation and logistics. They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join their team. This position is well-suited to a strategic, commercially astute individual who is looking to take ownership of high-value contracts and drive commercial excellence across major programmes.

This position is based in the Commercial department and reports to the Commercial Group Leader. You will lead commercial management activities across major airport projects, ensuring robust contract governance, optimised commercial performance, and proactive risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of large, complex contracts from pre-award through to delivery and final account.
• Manage contract changes, claims, negotiations, and client correspondence.
• Provide commercial leadership to project teams, ensuring compliance with contract terms and internal governance.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks while maximising opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior commercial or contract management role, ideally within construction, engineering, aviation, or large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience within Airport (ideally Heathrow) projects
• Experience with different forms of contracts e.g. NEC3, NEC4, MF/1
• Commercial management of a complex engineering project generating revenue of over 10m p.a.
