Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions.   • Shift pattern: full shift
  • Post type: fixed term, 6 months
  • Training level: ST4 equivalent or above
  • Locations: Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley
  • Start date: 4 February 2026 (negotiable)
  • End date: 1 April 2025 (cannot be changed)
Responsibilities
  • Perform second‑on duties in Neonatology on the middle‑grade rota
  • Provide care with support from experienced ANNPs and resident Consultant Neonatologists
  • Engage in paediatric training opportunities parallel to run‑through paediatrics programmes
  • Act as a senior clinical fellow with a clear career path in Paediatrics, requiring relevant experience
Qualifications
  • Completed a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date
  • If the above is not met, submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST) completed by a consultant with a minimum of three months whole‑time equivalent employment within the 3.5‑year period
  • Relevant experience and training in Neonatology and Paediatrics
