Job summary

Job Role: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £50 - £55ph

About the Role

Our client is currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their team, delivering outline designs and detailed specifications primarily for water and wastewater schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and colleagues from other disciplines across the wider Water Business Unit in the UK and Ireland to deliver projects.
• Undertake outline and detailed designs and specifications for civil engineering works.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure design outputs are delivered in line with agreed scopes, timescales, and budgets.
• Work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and add value for the end client.

About you

• A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), and be chartered or actively working towards chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
• Proven knowledge and experience in civil design for the water sector, including infrastructure and/or non‑infrastructure projects.
• The ability to work effectively across disciplines and with external stakeholders to develop innovative, tailored design solutions.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater designs and specifications for Water Companies, Contractors, or related sectors.
• A strong understanding of the environmental impact of engineering works and awareness of sustainable solutions, water and wastewater processes, and health and safety legislation.
