Job summary

A children's service provider in the East Midlands is seeking a qualified Senior Residential Support Worker for a 4-bed home caring for children aged 8-17. The role involves supporting a care team, undertaking direct work with young people, and leading multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure the best outcomes for children. Ideal candidates will have experience in working with children who have faced trauma and will be skilled in offering support and supervision to carers. This position offers a 2 on, 3 off shift pattern.

Qualifications

  • Qualified RSW / Senior with experience in children's services.
  • Ability to work with children who have complex trauma and abuse backgrounds.

Senior Residential Support Worker - Leicester

EBD 2 BED Children's Service (Aged 8-17)

2 on, 3 off shift pattern

We are looking for a Senior RSW to work in a 4 Bed Home, that cares for children aged 8-17.

Your aim is to transform the lives of children and young people who have experienced complex trauma and abuse. All staff are professionally qualified or working towards a qualification in therapeutic skills to enable them to tend to the children and young peoples practical, physical, and emotional needs.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be required to :

  • Support the care team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
  • Undertake direct work with young people as appropriate. To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
  • Offer supervision and support to carers in line with quality standards & regulations, and as directed by the Registered Manager. To promote our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach and engage / lead weekly MDT meetings with Clinical and Education services on site.
