Overview

Nottinghamshire Care Group are recruiting dedicated and conscientious Senior Care Workers in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, to provide domiciliary care to our service users. We’re seeking caring and compassionate individuals who enjoy interacting with elderly and vulnerable seniors and assisting them with their daily living activities.

We have full-time and part-time opportunities available, and we are open-minded to different shift patterns. So, if you can only work in the evenings or weekends, or you would like to discuss shifts that fit around childcare, we would like to hear from you.

Main duties
  • You will be responsible for a wide range of care needs or supporting the service user, taking into account their individual personality and lifestyle choices. You will be supervising and monitoring care workers to ensure the highest standards of care are provided to service users in their own homes.
  • Providing personal care duties such as washing, dressing, bathing and toileting (or assistance with these activities)
  • Administering medications
  • Shopping and meal preparation support
  • Supporting with domestic, daily living tasks, including cleaning
  • Manual handling, using equipment where required
  • Helping service users to access the community, socialise and undertake leisure activities
  • Maintaining appropriate records to meet the needs of the service, observing and promptly reporting changes or concerns in your service user's circumstances or condition
  • Being flexible to work a range of shift patterns
Essential skills
  • At least 2 years experience as a Care Worker
  • Trained in Medication management
  • Excellent listening skills and an ability to build up a rapport with people
  • Good communication skills, with a good command of English
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
Desirable skills
  • Experience of working in a Senior Care Worker role
  • A full, clean Driving Licence (walkers are also welcome)
