Job description

This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Gravesend is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of residents. The role requires a minimum of NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, along with 2 years' experience in a similar care environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensure that new needs are met, and update written records to reflect variations.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, and with health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
