Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Qualifications

• You must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
