Overview

Senior Care Assistant (MID00FP) – Middlesex Manor Care Home, 119 Harrow Road, Wembley HA9 6DQ. CQC rating: Good. £12.40- £14.01 per hour depending on experience. Permanent contract - 44 hours per week.

Senior Care Assistant – Middlesex Manor Care Home

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
  • Supporting with clinical duties, including assisting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
  • Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
Qualifications & Skills
  • Completed / working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed.
  • Motivated, positive with great interpersonal skills, and able to work in a close-knit team. You’ll be pivotal in running a unit and aiding with clinical duties for the home.
  • Previous experience in the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges. A passion for making a real difference to people’s lives, providing kindness, personalised support and dignity.
