A leading care provider in Horsham is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to deliver personalized care and lead a team of Care Assistants. You'll plan and implement care for residents, ensuring their dignity and independence while working in a supportive environment. Job description

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager by providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medication and support residents at the end of life.
  • Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent) and willingness to progress to Level 3.
  • Background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Strong positive energy, natural ability to get along with people, excellent record‑keeping and effective time management.
  • Considerate and kind communication with residents and co‑workers.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge; able to recognise signs of abuse and report concerns.
