Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals.

Job responsibilities
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting any changes impacting care plans, and updating records accordingly.
  • Participating in person‑centred care planning, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, raising concerns or complaints as needed.
Qualifications and experience
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Care for Care Homes
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff
  • Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities
Job details

Shift Details: 7 am to 8:30 pm, including alternative weekends

Requirements: A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
