Qualifications

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2; Level 3 desired or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience working in a care home or similar setting.

Location: Vera James House, Ely, CB6 1TA
Rate: £13.65 per hour + paid training + industry-recognised qualifications + flexible shifts
Hours: 35 per week

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our residents lead fulfilling, meaningful lives while maintaining independence, dignity and choice. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Leading and supervising the care team on shift

  • Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks

  • Administering medication safely

  • Creating, reviewing and updating person-centred care plans

  • Supporting residents with emotional and psychological well‑being

  • Working closely with families to ensure they feel part of the Glenholme community

  • Promoting inclusion, encouragement and a positive atmosphere every day


Qualifications & Experience Required


  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum, as Level 3 desired or willingness to work towards it)

  • Experience working in a care home or similar setting

  • Medication administration experience (training can be provided)

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting older people

  • This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
