Overview

About The Role. This role is Full Time 33hrs per week working over a seven day rota, with opportunities for a Senior Care Assistant on Days and also on Nights. The employer is open to discussion in interviews.

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will help deliver care across dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care homes, getting to know residents and their families, and providing personalised care plans that give residents security, dignity and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and influence the team. You may assist with activities, support residents and families, and work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager. You will be involved in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities and may administer medication.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and uphold the highest standards of care.
  • Plan and implement personalised care that gives residents security, dignity and independence.
  • Get to know residents and their families to deliver person-centred care plans.
  • Assist with activities and social/recreational programmes; administer medication as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
  • Support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in daily duties.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma/SN VQ in Adult Care, with preparation to work toward Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Strong, positive energy, excellent interpersonal skills, good record keeping, and effective time management.
