Job summary

A care service provider in Camberley is looking for a dedicated care support worker to deliver and support high-quality, person-centred care. Responsibilities include overseeing care, leading shifts, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Overview

Job Purpose: To deliver and support high-quality, person-centred care to residents in line with our client's philosophy, policies, and procedures — with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, dignity, and individual choice. You will also support and supervise care staff, contribute to a homely and safe environment, and ensure effective communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities
  • Resident Care & Support
    • Provide and oversee person-centred care, including personal and healthcare support, life skills, and leisure activities as outlined in residents\' care plans and risk assessments.
    • Promote residents\' physical and mental wellbeing, privacy, dignity, rights, and personal preferences.
    • Support residents to attend health appointments and reviews, ensuring accurate outcome documentation.
  • Leadership & Supervision
    • Lead care shifts safely when assigned, delegating tasks and monitoring performance of Care Assistants.
    • Mentor and coach new staff and apprentices, including supporting with inductions and recording care practice observations.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Administer medication (including PEG feeding) in line with protocols, legislation, and resident care plans.
    • Respond to medical emergencies and administer first aid in accordance with training and procedures.
  • Service Operations
    • Assist in managing residents\' finances safely, maintaining accurate records in line with finance profiles and policies.
    • Participate in care plan reviews, multi-agency meetings, and key communications with stakeholders.
Minimum Requirement
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
