Qualifications

• Previous experience with calibration, including Micrometres, Callipers, Height Gauges, Torque Wrenches, and Gauge Blocks.
• Inspection or calibration experience in the manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive sector.
• Good understanding of calibration practices and theories.
• Good working knowledge of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2017.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration of customer equipment to ISO9001, ISO17025 and UKAS standards.
• Calibrate various measurement tools.
• Produce and audit calibration procedures.
• Handle technical enquiries from clients.
• Mentor junior colleagues.

Overview

Calibration Engineer / Calibration Technician / Calibration Specialist required for a Calibration and Metrology Service provider near Stockport, Manchester.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform calibration of customer equipment to ISO9001, ISO17025 and UKAS standards
• Calibrating Micrometres, Callipers, Height Gauges, Torque Wrenches and Gauge Blocks
• Produce, develop and audit automated and manual calibration procedures for use within the laboratory for customer calibration
• Handle technical enquiries and liaise with clients when necessary
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior colleagues
