Overview

Senior CAD Analyst. The Vacancy As part of the RSK Group, here at eb7 we are currently looking to recruit an experienced CAD Analyst to join our CAD team to help support the business across a wide range of projects. You will have the opportunity to oversee management of team project work, resources and timescales, ensuring that deadlines are met and work is of a high quality. This will include managing the team's CAD project management system and effective planning of capacity around demands of projects. You will also check quality assurance of technical work undertaken by other members of the CAD Team, ensuring that the quality of work produced is of the highest standard possible.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding of the broader functions of the business, including the reports and advice we provide to clients, legal and policy framework around ROL and D&S and the information used within our assessment and advice.
  • Project management of CAD tasks within the surveying team - including time and expectation management.
  • Determining the scope of CAD tasks with surveying team and recording in the project 'release notes.
  • Reviewing information received is sufficient and, if not, liaising directly with external project team to source relevant information (scheme drawings, survey information etc.).
  • QA of CAD work produced by the wider CAD team and ensuring the work and outputs are correct and of the highest standard. Where quality issues are found, determining and instructing rework tasks with the wider CAD team.
  • Being involved in the company R&D activities where necessary, to help identify and develop new tools, software, techniques.
  • Ensuring that the technical process and outputs are aligned with relevant standards, accreditations and guidance from professional bodies.
  • Always adhere to the company H&S procedures as well promote, develop and support the company H&S within the CAD Department and across the business in general.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Ideally you will have detailed technical knowledge and proficiency in the current methods of analysis for daylight, sunlight and rights of light and willingness to learn and develop new tools, techniques.
  • You will also have a detailed understanding of the 2022 BRE guidance and BS EN17037 guidance on daylight and sunlight for planning, including both the general guidance and technical methodologies.
  • A detailed understanding of rights of light topics and basis of technical analysis as defined in Law would be desirable.
Personal Attributes
  • You will need to be detail-oriented, organised, and possess strong math, technical, and computer skills, particularly in CAD software, to create accurate designs.
  • Key personal attributes include creativity for problem-solving, excellent verbal and listening communication to collaborate with teams, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
