About the Role

Randstad Sourceright is recruiting on behalf of Siemens Energy. We are looking for a solution-focused, analytical Senior Operational Buyer who thrives on working with large volumes of information, complex products, and diverse suppliers. This role requires someone confident in analysis, Excel, PowerBI, and a lean approach to procurement, who can work independently and deliver solutions rather than just operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and Capability Managers to support :

  • Procurement & Supplier Management : Oversee a diverse supplier portfolio, drive part sourcing activities, negotiate price adjustments, and resolve invoicing or payment discrepancies.
  • Operational Efficiency : Manage workqueues, ensure timely PO issuance, and contribute to globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems.
  • Internal Customer Collaboration : Partner with MRPCs and requisitioners to ensure excellent customer service and early engagement.
  • Supplier Development & Compliance : Support supplier qualification, evaluation, selection, and ongoing development, maintaining transparency and high procurement quality.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Maintain records, update supplier evaluation systems, and support Procurement Business Plan activities.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has :
  • Strong experience with SAP transactional systems (PS1 ATLAS module in a production environment).
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
  • 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement.
  • Experience in aerospace or industrial applications preferred; knowledge of complex products such as castings and forgings is a plus.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset—able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI or other analytics tools.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-changing global organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced / Fluent English.
