Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and focused professional who has previous experience working as a Senior Business Assistant or has a proven record of sound support at Executive Director/Senior Management level to work within the NHS Golden Jubilee Corporate Governance department.

As Senior Business Assistant you will have a comprehensive range of business management, secretarial, administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload. You will have an understanding of the challenges and demands of a busy Assistant post together with an understanding of the NHS or a large and complex multisite organisation within the Public or Private sector. You will be responsible for a full range of duties to support the Chief Executive and Head of Corporate Governance and Board Secretary. You will join an established team and will manage a fast paced, unpredictable workload with professionalism and above all demonstrate through experience a sound understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting.

This role requires the ability to be flexible, have high calibre organisational and communication skills and a senior level of experience in minute taking. In this unique and key role, you will have the opportunity to support the Executive Leadership Team across a portfolio of high profile and critical work programmes requiring an ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally to the organisation.

A proven track record of working at Board/Executive Director level in a busy organisation where competing priorities are a daily challenge is essential.

Applications are welcome from those who have a minimum of five years’ experience working at a senior management level. It is essential that the post-holder can demonstrate a high degree of organisational ability, minute taking experience and excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience at a senior management level.
  • Experience working at Board/Executive Director level in a busy organisation with competing priorities.
  • High degree of organisational ability, minute taking experience, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of the NHS or a large and complex multisite organisation within the Public or Private sector.
  • Flexible, with strong organisational and communication skills.
