Job summary

A global consulting firm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst specialized in the banking sector to work on medium to large projects. The candidate should have over 5 years of experience, particularly in Settlement & Clearing, and Capital Markets. This role offers a hybrid working model with 2-3 days a week in the central London office. It's an exciting opportunity to engage in consulting services and be part of a team managing complex stakeholder relationships. Applications are invited ASAP for a role commencing in January.

Qualifications

Senior Business Analyst - Banking Sector - Change & Technology

Specific experience of the Banking sector including Settlement & Clearing, Capital Markets, and the F2B Trade Lifecycle is preferred.

My global banking client is looking for a Business Analyst is responsible for BA activities on medium to large size projects. The role requires advanced knowledge & ability as BA, the ability to apply their competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery - planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology.

Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a BA working on technology change projects within the banking sector
  • Specific experience of Settlement & Clearing, Capital Markets F2B Trade-Lifecycle
  • Has worked on large scale complex projects
  • Good Presentation skills on PPT, Jira User Stories
  • Various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
  • Requirement planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
  • Requirements elicitation techniques such as Document analysis, Interviews, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus groups, Surveys
  • Requirements analysis and documentation: Scope Modelling, Business Process Modelling, Use Cases and Scenarios, Data Requirements, Business Rules Analysis and Decision Modelling, User Interface Design, Non Functional requirements, User Stories, Story Decomposition, and Story Mapping, Acceptance and Evaluation Criteria Definition
  • Requirements management and communication - requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, Backlog Management
  • Stakeholder/vendor management
As part of the role you will be providing consulting services to business stakeholders such as:
  • Assist in developing evaluation criteria of 3rd party vendors
  • Assist in evaluation of 3rd party vendor solutions and requirementsPartner with 3rd party vendors to ensure that the vendor requirements documentation
  • Provides coverage of the scope requirements
  • Integrates into requirements repositories for future reference and re-use
Qualifications
  • Relevant college, university, or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute -Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI - PBA) (Preferred)
  • Masters Certificate in Business Analysis (Preferred)
This role is made up of the following activities:

Our client offers hybrid working with 2/3 days a week in the central London office and 2/3 days WFH.
