Overview

Senior Building Surveyor – Essex

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

We are a property and construction consultancy based in Essex, seeking a well-rounded Senior Building Surveyor to join the team. The practice has over 60 years of operation with more than 20 Partners and 5 offices across the UK, delivering a range of services across the built environment. Recent projects include Wembley Park, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the British Museum.

You will provide a range of building surveying services across professional and project disciplines. Work is based in Essex and surrounding home counties, with project values ranging from £100k to £2 million.

Role Responsibilities
  • Defect analysis and report writing
  • Dilapidations and party wall matters
  • Building and due diligence surveys
  • Planned preventative maintenance schedules
  • Contract administration and Employers Agent roles
  • Specification writing for refurbishment and maintenance projects
  • Site supervision and monitoring for quality and progress
  • Work on high-profile and diverse projects with opportunities for career progression and professional development
About you
  • Degree qualified, ideally RICS accredited
  • MRICS qualified
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects, mentor junior team members, and build strong client relationships
  • Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently with excellent attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
