Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Tax team in either Guernsey or Jersey. This role focuses on providing UK and Channel Islands tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. The successful candidate will support tax compliance processes, ensure filing deadlines are met, and provide guidance to junior team members. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.

Job Duties:

  • Provide UK and Channel Islands tax compliance services to corporate clients.
  • Ensure all tax filing deadlines are met in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse financial data and prepare tax returns.
  • Support and monitor junior staff in tax compliance activities.
  • Assist with drafting tax advice and client communications.
  • Participate in marketing and industry events to enhance client engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Identify and manage tax risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Job Requirements:

  • ICAEW, ACCA, or other relevant tax qualification.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in tax compliance or advisory roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent risk awareness and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and methodical approach to work.
  • Strong influencing and teamwork skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
