The Role:

As a Senior Associate in the thriving Private Client team, you'll handle a varied and high-quality caseload, including wills, trusts, probate, lasting powers of attorney, and estate planning. You will have the chance to engage with a wide range of clients, from individuals and families to high-net-worth individuals, benefiting from both existing client relationships and the high volume of new enquiries the firm attracts.

In addition to managing your caseload, you'll play a key role in mentoring junior fee earners, contributing to their development and the overall success of the team. This position offers a clear pathway for growth, with leadership and partnership opportunities available as the department continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing a broad caseload of private client matters, including complex wills, probate, and estate planning
  2. Building strong relationships with both existing clients and new enquiries to grow the department further
  3. Supporting and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  4. Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives to attract and retain clients
  5. Playing a key role in achieving the firm's ambitious growth objectives over the next five years

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years PQE in private client law, with experience managing a diverse caseload
  2. Strong technical knowledge in wills, trusts, probate, and inheritance tax planning
  3. A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
  4. Excellent interpersonal and client care skills, with a proactive approach to relationship management
  5. Experience mentoring junior team members is highly desirable
  6. Ambition and drive to progress within a firm that prioritises career development
