Overview

Due to some new large commissions, Kyle Smart Associates, a chartered and award-winning Architectural Practice, dedicated to the successful design and delivery of projects, is looking for a Senior Architect with short term Directorship ambition, and a Part 2 Assistant to support its small ambitious team in Bedfordshire. We currently specialise in sustainable social housing, Independent living, Community infrastructure, Supported living projects, schools and leisure developments. Our projects are always challenging. The posts are office based.

Responsibilities

• Support and work on multiple projects at the same time, across different sizes of projects, either alone or in a small team.
• Contribute to design development, detailing, and presentation, with a flair for design.
• Provide assistance that aligns with the project’s requirements and timelines, contributing to successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Either ARB registered with experience across all RIBA work stages or recently graduated assistants/architects with enthusiasm.
• Strong design and detailing ability; capable of multi-tasking and leading a small team.
• Strong visualisation skills and an eye for presentation; experience of UK regulatory framework including Building Regulations and CDM.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks, Twinmotion and BIM preferred.
• Driver’s license is essential as the studio is in the countryside, with projects across the Home Counties and into London.
