Job description
Overview

Cross Works is seeking senior architects and senior urban designers to join its growing team in London.

We are a friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated collective, looking to grow sustainably to meet an increased demand across a number of sectors. The new recruits will work on large-scale international masterplanning schemes / megaprojects, and assist on architectural projects at a variety of scales and typologies, amongst other types of creative work.

Requirements and capabilities
  • qualified senior architect/ urban designer with at least five years of professional experience (i.e. in practice)
  • excellent design skills with demonstrable experience on projects at multiple scales; experience on larger scale buildings, urban quarters and masterplans will be required for this role
  • ability to lead a whole project, and delegate tasks to junior team members
  • ability and flexibility to work across multiple projects if / when required
  • excellent command of Rhino is absolutely essential; whilst Revit knowledge is useful
  • ability to use Adobe Creative Suite / MS Office is expected as standard
  • parametric design skills are a bonus, whilst knowledge of GIS is beneficial; these are not essential however
  • please note, that AutoCAD / Sketchup / Microstation / Vectorworks / ArchiCAD are not relevant for this particular role
  • friendly and conscientious, with strong communication skills
  • a passion for teamwork and collaboration
Salary and benefits

Competitive salary, dependent on experience and capabilities. Annual staff bonus scheme in place.

Location and working arrangements

This position will require working in an office environment in Camden, London (5 days per week).

Remote / hybrid-working is not negotiable for this role.
