Opportunity

Pure DC is growing its in‑house design capability to expand capacity for site test fits, concept designs, and architectural standards. We are seeking a Senior Architect to join our Data Centre Solutions team, reporting to the Chief Architect. You will help shape the future of our “Pure Product” by embedding design excellence and innovation into every development.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and evolve Pure DC’s standard product based on deep knowledge of the DC industry, emerging technologies, and hyperscale customer requirements.
  • Deliver rapid master planning and site test fits using Pure DC standard modules.
  • Create architectural concept and reference designs for data centres and associated buildings.
  • Prepare design strategy reports for feasibility studies, phasing, optioneering, and standards application.
  • Research sustainable materials and low‑carbon construction methods.
  • Review and comment on consultant design outputs via Aconex.
  • Produce template drawings, schedules, and technical documents to expand Pure’s design standards.
  • Act as CSA subject matter expert, supporting Technical Design Managers on live projects.
About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • RIBA Part III qualification with c.10 years’ experience post‑Part II (or architectural technology degree with 15+ years industry experience).
  • At least 3 years in the data centre or mission‑critical sector.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver hyperscale DC facilities in EMEA.
  • Strong knowledge of the Town Planning system in England and Wales and detailed knowledge of Building Regulations.
  • Solid understanding of construction detailing, procurement routes, and CSA/MEP coordination.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders including senior directors, permitting authorities, hyperscale SMEs, and partners.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D), SketchUp (3D modelling), Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); Revit/BIM advantageous.
  • Strong presentation, organisational, and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • A flexible, collaborative attitude; comfortable working independently and in a team.

  • Drawings, schedules, and documents that expand Pure’s technical standards.
  • Research reports on innovative materials and methodologies.
  • Reviews and feedback on external architectural design work.
  • Reference designs and briefs to support procurement and consultant onboarding.
