Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Agile Delivery Manager to lead delivery within a strategic public sector programme. This is a complex, high-profile engagement requiring strong leadership, delivery oversight and stakeholder management across multi-team environments.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for managing one of two project teams focused on designing future-state performance and quality management within a new operating model. The work will build on completed discovery and move into an 8-week Alpha phase, scoping the next 13 weeks of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead agile delivery across multidisciplinary teams
• Manage delivery planning, risks, dependencies and reporting
• Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders, product managers and analysts
• Ensure delivery aligns with strategic goals and user needs
• Navigate complex environments and drive progress in ambiguous settings

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a Senior Agile Delivery Manager in public sector or government programmes (GDS experience is essential)
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and service design
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage delivery in complex, fast-paced environments

This role is based in Newcastle Upon-Tyne and you will be required in the office regularly for the first few weeks then the travel requirement will become more relaxed. This contract role is Inside IR35.
