Job summary

A leading mental health hospital in Greater London is looking for an experienced Senior Addictions Therapist. This role involves providing advanced clinical assessments, supervising junior staff, and delivering therapeutic sessions for those with substance use disorders. Candidates must have a Level 5 Diploma in counselling or a related qualification, along with full BABCP accreditation. Qualifications

  • Must hold at least a Level 5 Diploma in counselling or a relevant professional qualification in addictions.
  • Experience with addiction treatment is essential.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical assessments and treatment for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Supervise and mentor junior therapists while ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using integrative approaches.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and social workers for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service improvement.

Skills

Experience with substance use disorders

Excellent communication skills
Strong clinical judgement

Previous supervisory experience

Education
