SEND Teaching Assistant – Part-time, long-term temporary roles starting as soon as possible

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop confidence in a safe and inclusive environment.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials
• Promote pupil independence and engagement in lessons
• Monitor and record pupil progress and well-being
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant
